Clinical Psychologists help clients to identify problems, including emotional, mental and behavioural in their lives. Through observation, interviews and tests, the clinical psychologists will diagnose any existing or potential difficulties/disorders. Then, together with the client, they will formulate a treatment plan according to the client's needs. Clinical psychologists will monitor the client's progress on a regular basis to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.

Supportive Play

Children express more of themselves through play than speech. For children, toys are their words and play is their conversation. They will use the play materials to directly or symbolically act out feelings, thoughts and experiences that they are not able to meaningfully express through words. Children are able to communicate and play out how they feel to the therapist leading to improved ability to cope with their difficulties and find healthier solutions.

Discharge planning allows clients and their families to prepare for the transition from hospital to home or another level of care. We assess the psychosocial needs of clients and families before we intervene with the aim to enable clients to receive continuing care after they leave the hospital environment.
