Our Objective

Infection prevention and control practices are important in maintaining a safe environment for patients by reducing the risk of the potential spread of disease from person to person. As it becomes more difficult to treat infection, it becomes even more important to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Preventing healthcare associated infections is a high priority, and we work within healthcare teams to ensure all measures are taken to reduce infections and prevent transmission. Hospital treats patients with various conditions. The risk of infection can occur anytime. Protocol is crucial in preventing infection and the staff must be knowledgeable in infection control principles and help to prevent healthcare associated infection. Infection prevents healing and destroys lives, so all health and social care workers have a responsibility to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

This campaign is targeted at healthcare worker who is working in Lam Wah Ee Hospital because infection prevention is a vital aspect of health and medical service. The objectives of this awareness campaign are:

To enhance staff's knowledge in management of infection control.
